Conveniently located between Seattle and Tacoma, Kent is the third largest city in King County and the second oldest. Despite its size and age, Kent maintains a close-knit community and boasts every modern amenity. Kent is home to the Showare Center, a multi-use events center that hosts concerts and other live events and is the home of the Seattle Thunderbirds hockey team, the Tacoma Stars of the Major Arena Soccer League, and the Seattle Mist of the Legends Football league. Touring shows like the Harlem Globetrotters and Disney on Ice also make stops at the Showare Center. In the heart of downtown, Kent Station is an open-air center for shopping, dining, relaxing and seeing movies. Kent Station also holds events throughout the year like Halloween trick or treating, Easter egg hunts, summer concerts, and pictures with Santa during the holidays. Kent residents love to get outdoors, taking in the views of Mt. Rainier from one of our many parks, biking along the valley trails, and bird watching at the Green River Natural Resources Area. You can find unique and historic homes here as well as newly built ones. If you’re looking for a friendly neighborhood, Kent has you covered. If you’d like to learn more about Kent, let us know. We’d love to show you around and help you find your perfect home.

"I wanted to send a note of gratitude for the exceptional level of service Joan Posanke provided during the sale of my home. Joan’s professionalism and willingness to ensure that all available resources were being utilized is reflected in the success of selling my home quickly.

Any request that was made of her was taken care of in a timely manner. Any time that I called, which typically was not during normal business hours, was answered and assistance was provided. Acknowledging that she has many clients that she is managing at one time, she always made us feel important and that she had time to address our concerns. It was a pleasure working with her and I would recommend her services to anyone that is considering selling their home.

She is a valuable asset to John L. Scott Real Estate and to be congratulated on a job well done!"

"We had the pleasure to work with Joan Posanke of the Tietz-Posanke Group to coordinate the sale of an existing home to purchase a new home. Inhabiting our prior house for 12 years, my wife and I were green to the real estate process. Joan's enthusiasm and knowledge quickly put our minds at ease so we could focus on buying our new home.

Joan was prompt to meet with us to assess our current property and identify what would need to be fixed/updated in order to list. She was encouraging and showed excitement as fixes progressed and listing day approached. Once listed, we never made it to an open house weekend...within 48 hours we had nearly 30 showings, netting us four offers. Ultimately we sold our home for 12 percent over our asking price.

Joan turned what I expected to be a stressful buying process into something enjoyable, and gracefully dealt with all of my freak-outs while our new home was under construction. One year later and she continues to follow-up with us regularly and pops-in on occasion to say hello.

What sticks out in my mind most about Joan and the good people of Tietz-Posanke Group is their drive to build a positive and lasting relationship with their clients. I always felt that my comfort and satisfaction in the process meant more than the mere buying and selling of homes. I would recommend the Tietz-Posanke Group to anyone looking for a great experience with wonderful people...and I do shamelessly promote them to family, friends, and coworkers."
